New: Expanded Risks Help You Stay on Top of Your Assets

Several new types of risks have been added into SAManage, to help you more proactively oversee your IT Asset Management tasks:

  1. Expiring Contracts - A risk entry will show users which contracts have expired, and when.
  2. Past Due Tickets – A new risk will notify the user when a ticket is past its due date.
  3. Computers Not Reporting – When computers have not reported for more than a week, a new risk will be dynamically added, reminding the user that some assets have gone MIA. The user can then review the information and take appropriate action, such as modifying the status (i.e. to “maintenance” if the computer is in repair, or to ”disposed” if it has been taken out of inventory).
  4. Duplicate Computers in Inventory - When duplicate computers exist in inventory (which can happen often during standard IT asset management activities, as computers get re-installed), a new risk will remind the user to review them, and remove any obsolete assets.

As a best practice, users are advised to frequently review their risks including any computers that are duplicates, or missing in action, and make the appropriate adjustments in their inventory to reflect the correct status.
