Samanage Expands Customer Data Protection, Launches EU Data Center to Meet Requirements of New EU-US Privacy Shield
SaaS Enterprise Service Management Vendor Bolsters Data Security and Privacy With New EU Data Center and SOC 2 Certification of Security Controls and Operations
Cary, N.C. — February 4, 2016 — Samanage, the provider of the SaaS-based enterprise service management platform built to help make work life better, has launched its new European Union (EU) data center in Ireland to ensure data protection under the EU Data Protection Directive ahead of finalization of the new EU-US Privacy Shield. The company also received Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Certification of security controls and operations to provide customers a higher level of protection currently mandated by the industry.

Additionally, today the company announced that it has successfully undergone a Service Organization Control 2SM Type II examination and received its SOC 2 Certification. An SOC 2SM Type II report is designed to meet the needs of existing or potential customers who require assurance about the effectiveness of the controls at a service organization relevant to the security, availability or processing integrity of the system used by Samanage to protect customers’ information and maintain the confidentiality and privacy of that information.
